On Thursday, March 22 the Greek Life Awards were held in Eykamp to honor the many accomplishments of our Greek community this year. We would like to congratulate all those who received awards. Chapter awards and individual awards were given. They each honored those who displayed extraordinary acts following our five pillars: leadership, scholarship, community service and philanthropy, social interaction, and life long brotherhood/sisterhood. Outlined are the winners:
The Pillar of Excellence in Leadership
This year's recipients are Alpha Omicron Pi, Chi Omega, Phi Mu, Zeta Tau Alpha, Lambda Chi Alpha, Phi Gamma Delta, Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Sigma Phi Epsilon
The Pillar of Excellence in Scholarship
This year’s recipients are Alpha Omicron Pi, Chi Omega, Lambda Chi Alpha, Phi Gamma Delta, and Sigma Alpha Epsilon
The Pillar of Excellence in Community Service and Philanthropy
This year’s recipients are: Alpha Omicron Pi, Chi Omega, Zeta Tau Alpha, Phi Gamma Delta, Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Sigma Phi Epsilon.
The Pillar of Excellence in Social Interaction
The recipients are: Chi Omega, Zeta Tau Alpha, Phi Gamma Delta, and Sigma Alpha Epsilon
The Pillar of Excellence in Lifelong Brotherhood or Sisterhood
This year’s recipients are: Alpha Omicron Pi, Chi Omega, Zeta Tau Alpha, and Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
There were also chapter awards for the honors of Chapter of Excellence. Chapters receiving 70 to 79 total points are awarded with the Orange Award. This year’s recipients are Lambda Chi Alpha (76 points) and Sigma Phi Epsilon (72 points).
The Chapters receiving 80 to 89 total points are awarded with the White Award. This year’s recipients are Alpha Omicron Pi (86 points), Zeta Tau Alpha (86 points), and Phi Gamma Delta (89 points).
Chapters receiving 90 to 100 total points are awarded with the Purple Award. This year’s recipients are Chi Omega (91 points) and Sigma Alpha Epsilon (97 points).
