Most students look fondly to summer as a time for rest and relaxation but really summer is one of the busiest times for Greeks! Between jobs, internships, recruitment preparations and extra classes there is little time for rest. But the real highlight of a Greek student leader's summer may just be Convention or Leadership training. This summer six of the ten national organizations represented at UE will be hosting a Convention. Conventions traditionally occur ever two years and are the largest legistrative meetings of the Fraternity or Sorority.
The first convention is kicking off today, just "down the road" from UE in Louisville, KY. We wish all our friends in Zeta Tau Alpha a fun and productive Convention!
Here's a run down of all the conventions taking place this summer:
Zeta Tau Alpha: June 27-July 1 in Lousiville, KY
Phi Mu: July 4-7 in San Antonio, TX
Chi Omega: July 11-15 in Phoenix, AZ
Phi Kappa Tau: July 25-29 in Nashville, TN
Lambda Chi Alpha: July 26-29 in Phoenix, AZ
Phi Gamma Delta: August 2-5 in New Orleans, LA
Many of our members will also be attending summer leadership programs and we wish them all the best!
Are you attending a Convention or leadership program this summer? If so we want to hear about it! Send us your stories and pictures to uegreeklife@gmail.com and you just might be profiled in an upcoming Blog!
