Another round of Introductions!

It takes a large team of women to make recruitment a success.  We're back to introduce you to more of our AMAZING recruitment team!  Here's a look as a few more Gamma Chi's!

Hello future Aces! I actually had quite a few reasons for going Greek. Many of my older friends were going Greek when they went away to college and one of my close friends suggested I do the same because he understood what an awesome, fulfilling experience it is. So, I attended a Greek Life info session with my mother on a whim during SOAR, and she convinced me that signing up would be a great way for me to meet new people and make friends, since I'm pretty far away from home. I was also really shy when I started college and I thought joining a sorority would help me break out of my shell.

I love being Greek! Joining a sorority was exactly what I needed. Over the past two years, I have become more outgoing and I've been given so many opportunities to succeed and become a campus leader. I know so many people on campus now, both Greek and unaffiliated, and it's definitely made living far away from home nine months out of the year much easier (and a lot more fun!). Because I have become a member of a strong women's organization, I am surrounded by people who are supportive and urge me to strive for excellence, not only in my leadership abilities, but in my everyday life, too.  I can't wait to see you in the fall!

Name: Jenna Huebel
Year: Junior
Major: Special Education
Hometown: Columbus, IN
Hi I'm Jenna and I chose Greek life for a chance to make new friends and have a great college experience, what I found in UE Greek life was so much more. I found some of the best of friends, leadership options, social activities, and life long sisters. I am the first of my family to join Greek life so my parents were worried about me joining. I talked to them about the type of friends I'd be making, and all the oppurnitiues I would have and they felt better about it. When my parents finally met my sisters and saw how happy I was within my sorority they couldn't be happier of the choice I made to join UE greek life.

I look forward to meeting you when school starts!

Name: Jenna W.
Year: Senior
Major: Psychology
Hometown: St. Louis, MO

Hi, I'm Jenna and before coming to college I had no strong desire to join a sorority. But when I met various Greek girls during my UE Road Trip visit, I began to learn a lot about sororities and fraternities, changing my mind. I got to watch a philanthropy event and see how many friends my road trip hosts had. They looked like they were a part of campus and I then knew I could feel that way too if I came to UE and went Greek.

I was very nervous going through recruitment but it was a good experience that helped me find my place. Being Greek encouraged me to get involved and once I got settled, I was inspired to do more. I volunteered more often, joined the Psychology honors program, became a DJ for WUEV, joined the BiSci club, and strove for leadership positions, allowing me to be on the Panhellenic executive board. Being Greek gave me a great support system that helped me expand my personality and interests and do well in school. I know that I will always have a sister if I need a study buddy, advice, or just a friend. I hope you all choose to experience Greek Life. See you all in the Fall!
