Greek life not only provided me with possibilities and opportunities but also opened me up to take advantage of them. It has allowed me to be around people who are just as geared toward getting involved and people who are dedicated and passionate towards everything they are involved in. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to help you find your place in UE Greek Life! I am also excited to serve as the Panhellenic VP of External Affairs this semester!

Major: Creative Writing/International Studies
Greek Life has shown me that my potential is limitless and I have been able to accomplish so much in my college career because of my experiences in Greek Life. I've taken on many leadership positions in other organizations on and off campus. I've grown in confidence and integrity. I also know what it's like to have an entire community be there for me when I'm going through a tough time. Going Greek has helped me grow into the woman I didn't know I could be, and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I loved being an RC last year, and I can't wait to meet all of you in the fall!

Starting over and coming to a new
area can be really intimidating. Add the fact that you have a completely
different curriculum level that you probably weren’t completely prepared for.
Life can get over whelming and Greek life can help. Now is the time to get
involved. As incoming freshmen, everyone wants to reach out and make friends
just like you. Greek Life makes it just that much more simpler. You become
surrounded by individuals who want you to succeed in whatever path you choose
to take and who will help you when you’re struggling. For me, academics were
something I really took into consideration. In Greek Life, chances are, there
is already an older member with the same major if not similar to yours. Since
she/he was already in your shoes, take advantage of that and learn what to
expect and how to take notes. This can be applied to college experience in
general and not just academics. UE’s Greek Life gave me a group of beautiful
women who have similar morals and standards that quickly became individuals who
I respect and model myself after. They having already experienced the terrors
of freshman year, they were able to help me get through it with less friction
and chaos. Even with older members able to give you advice, some things are
still for you to learn on your own. Joining Greek Life is an enormous step that
intimidates some due to stereotypes they have gathered but UE’s campus contains
a different type of Greek community then the larger universities. With a
smaller campus comes a more accepting and organized society. Greek Life has allowed
me to become involved and stay involved in the community around me. Without
Greek Life, Evansville would not have been the same.

UE Greek Life has offered me the opportunity to develop myself both
personally, through the formation of close friendships, and professionally.
Since becoming a member of Greek Life at UE I have been able to develop my
character, determine my values, and hone my leadership skills to become the
best version of myself, with the help of a close-knit community of individuals.
