Phi Gamma Delta members at Easter Seals Tribute Dinner |
The Phi Gamma Delta chapter at UE was recently recognized by the Easter Seals of Southwestern Indiana for their significant contributions to the Rehabilitation Center. Since the chapter's founding at UE in 2001 they have raised funds and volunteered time with the Easter Seals. Over the past 13 years the chapter has raised over $90,000.00 to benefit Easter Seals. Take a moment to read that again...$90,000.00!
Phi Gamma Delta works to collect donations year round and through their annual philanthropic event Hot-Tub-A-Thon held in April.
Phi Gamma Delta philanthropy chairmen Austin White stated that the chapter is already hard at work planning for the 2014 Hot-Tub-A-Thon and they look forward to breaking the $100,000.00 donation mark next year.
The Easter Seals Tribute dinner also honored John and Diane Schroeder for their continued service to the organization. John Schroeder also holds a special connection to the Phi Gamma Delta chapter at UE as he was instrumental in supporting their colonization.
Many student life staff members and University administrators were able to attend the event to support and congratulate the men including Vice President and Dean of Students, Dana Clayton, Assistant Vice President and Director of Residence Life, Michael Tessier, Director of Student Engagement, Geoff Edwards and Assistant Director of Student Engagement, Cara Fabrocini to name a few.
Please join all of us in congratulating the men on this awesome accomplishment. Their dedication to service and philanthropy is inspiring.
